Extra Curricular Activities
The children have a chance to participate in a range of extra curricular activities at Beamish. We endeavour to provide a range of clubs and offer these free of charge.
We also run Federation sports teams made up of children from both our schools, and the children often have the opportunity of attending clubs at Pelton Community Primary.
Wrap Around Care
Our Breakfast Club starts at 8am, costing £1.50 per day, with pupils being offered choice of cereal or toast to start their day.
We also offer our Teatime Club, costing £3.50 per day, pupils will be provided with a small snack and activities running until 4:15pm.
In Spring Term 2025, Beamish Primary School was selected as one of England's Breakfast Clubs Early Adopter Schools. This means we have full funding to provide a free breakfast club from 8.15am to 8.45am everyday,. Alongside a delicious breakfast we have supervised play activities including Lego, card games, colouring etc, as well as access to our OPAL play yard.
Our breakfast menu changes daily, and includes; crumpets, bagels toast, jam and honey, selection of cereal, yogurts, fresh fruit, fruit pots, fruit juices and milk. We also provide a hot breakfast one day per week, and this is currently sausage sandwich, or bacon sandwich or beans with toast.
We welcome all children from 3 years old to 11 years old.
For a small fee, Beamish also offers an additional breakfast club from 7.45am to 8.15am.
